exchanging cloth front seats for leather 200 1989

OK, our ‘89 dark metallic grey wagon, black dash/interior has “charcoal” cloth seats, but the drivers side seat has “issues“. Was going to rebuild it, but we found 2 excellent black leather front seats, used but in top condition, leather has no tears rips, the leather is supple, and frames are perfect. The black leather will look nice , and eventually we may change over the back seat, not sure about that though. $$$ is an issue. Of course we will keep the leather well conditioned. Here’s my question with a statement though: I want to set the drivers seat about 4” back so it will be more comfortable for me. I had asked about that in a previous post. However I have just heard that there actually is supposed to be an already existing “option” for drivers who are a bit on the tall side. Haven’t heard everything about that yet, but was told the “runner” (?) where the seats bolt down has extra holes that are “capped over” at the front but behind the existing holes that can be “uncapped” and the seat bolted there a few inches behind the front existing holes. All I need is about 4 “ more back.. For the back “holes” though, there is “supposed” to be some sort of “kit” that is for finishing up the install of the rear of the seats. Anyone heard this? The seats are going to be installed very soon, so just want to be prepared as much as possible. The person doing the install is also checking on this, but wanted to ask the BB’ers here. Thanks for your help.
