How to REPLACE the brake light switch 900 1995

Ok - ran the circuit and have good juice coming into the brake switch but none coming out on either Yellow-Brown wire. Switch has expired.

Question is - how to remove the switch. It's a buggar to get to and it looks like there are 2 clips holding it in. At least I think there are since I can see one on the bottom.

Any techniques before I disturb a 16 year old plastic assembly. Sure would hate to break it by doing something I should have known not to do beforehand.

Thanks
