AC pulley not lining up 900

On my 1996 960 my the pulley on my newly installed rebuilt AC compressor does not seem to be lining up with my other pulleys. I can put it on ok but as soon as I start up the belt sneaks up forward riding on the forward lip of the pulley and off about two lines. The Compressor is not working right now so it seems to be having no problem spinning freely but I am wondering if there is a way that I can adjust the pulley forwards toward the radiator a few mm's. The rebuilt compressor I installed came with the pulley installed on it.
