BW 55 change-out for my 1980 242 200 1980

I just recently bought a 1980 242,with a BW 55 trans, and would like to change the transmission to have an overdrive type,extra gear. I have a 1992 740 wagon that is not being used , and it has an automatic trans, with the O/D switch, button on the left side of the floor shifter knob. I don't know exactly what type trans it is , but I think I can make this swap. I might have read in one of the posts that the wagons have a different tail peice. I will have to make a change anyway for the speedometer fitting. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.I have posted a picture of my new 30 year-old 242 in the Gallery section . Take a look. Thanks for any help or suggestions. Joe
