PNP weirdness on 960, just replaced with FCPG part last week and symptom has returned 900

I am wondering about the quality of this part as I just had my mechanic put this part in last week. The mechanic in question is not a Volvo mech per se, so I'm wondering if something could have gone awry, in a weeks' time. The part worked for approximately one week, so I suspect the part, but could something have come loose?

I'm not at the car at the moment but will check it when I have the chance
