Buy this? 900 1996

I've been off brickboard for years... had a 96 850T wagon that was a huge pain (but y'all we're very helpful then). I have been out of Volvo for several years but I am feeling tempted once more.

I can get a 1996 960 wagon, 220k miles, in very nice-looking shape, for $850. New radiator, new rear shocks, winter tires on rims, no rust, and the seller's claim that all works except the AC. T belt done 30k ago. Seller claims to have all records in hand.

I would use this car to drive a lot of hwy miles and some country 2-laners in a snowy, hilly, New England setting. In a year I do about 15,000-17,000 miles for work alone. I would also cart my kids and dog around town.

Probably this not a good idea but it looks quite nice and OMG is it cheap. Talk me into or out of this?
