Replace Receiver/Dryer when converting to R12A 700

I was going to do the full R134A conversion per the FAQ files, which says to get the Volvo kit and install a new receiver/dryer.

But after snooping around, this R12A seems the way to good (do not need to change the mineral oil).

So the ? is, do I still need to swap out a new receive/dryer?

If all I need to do is: recovery R12 - change the R12A fill fitting - evacuate - then fill with R12A based on pound conversion. Then this is easy!

The reason for doing this all is my high pressure hose from compressor to condenser is leaking thru pin holes in the rubber (slow leak that gets me thru summer). I will install a new hose.

Almost thru summer here in Sacramento.

thanks all
