164 Fog lights 140-160

Hello Friends-
Am so happy my Volvo-nut brother turned me on to this site. I too am a Volvo nut- passionate and firm in my dedication to the greatest of automobiles- and solicit all help in maintaining my 'babies'. God Save Volvo cars!!
I currently own a 72 164, retrofitted at original owners request to a carbeurated model. The inline 6 is a dream, and I am maintaining her in her original state. My question concerns the fog lights, which have been newly-installed. There is a fusible link with them I believe, and have directly linked them to battery terminal. Am I correct in doing so? Also, what fuse governs this? Last time I could 'marry' the terminal with other cables on positive, and get lights, but now, nothing. Any suggestions?
