A/C Options 120-130

I am in the process of installing A/C in my 122S. I have the compressor and condenser installed and am looking for a suitable evaporator. I am also considering going to a Heat-A/C unit which will enable the removal of the heater core etc. from the firewall.
So far I think that the Vintage Air 10301 VUY or VUX will work. I'm not definite on removing the stock heater, but it would clean up the firewall.
Has anyone used this evaporator?
If yes, a few questions...
How do you get fresh air into the cabin? (If heater is removed)
Can the defroster be hooked up?
How does it "look" when installed?
Are there any photos of this installed in a 122?
Is there something else I should look at that will be better or easier?
