No start 700 1987

When you turn key do the lights dim? If not, apply voltage directly to the large lug on the starter either by simply using a larger screwdriver to connect the large nut to the small nut on the starter or using the alternator service socket(blue socket on drivers side under hood in harness bundle). If by applying voltage directly to the starter it does not turn..starter is dead.
If by applying voltage directly it does start...then you know starter is good.
Good place to start. Try it and report back. Oh and be safe, tranny in nuetral and e-brake on!
