White paint? 200 1991

For what it's worth, when Jorrell, myself, and a couple others were trying to improve the lighting in the gauge cluster, I learned that white paint - counter-intuitively - is regarded as a better reflector than an imperfect mirror (eg. silver paint).

I suspect your best bet with re-silvering the reflectors cheaply is thin glue and aluminum foil. Carefully done, you could get some good results. The process is basically gilding with aluminum. In fact, look for gilding glue at your local craft store.
