Wimpy horn when left side of horn pad pressed 200 1991

The horn on our '91 245 with the DS airbag sounds real wimpy when it is pressed on the left side of the pad. When the right side is pressed, the horns sound great. I checked the wiring and even installed a spare set of horns that produced the same wimpy sound. How do I remove the horn pad with that airbag to check and clean the contacts.
