940 ambient temperature gauge 900 1991

Dear Brad,

Hope you're well. In 1993-95 940s sold in North America, the ambient temperature display is mounted on the extreme lower left corner of the instrument cluster, as you face it.

Please see the FAQs, for instructions on accessing the back of the instrument cluster.

If the cluster for the 1991 940s is designed to accept the sensor display housing, the opening for the sensor display should be filled with a black plastic piece, secured by two Phillips-head screws. Remove the screws, set the display in place of the "filler" piece, and secure it with the screws. The "filler" piece should be kept, in case You wish to remove the display.

The connector for the display should be present. If so, it may be taped to one of the harnesses, that connects to the instrument cluster.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
