Ideas (sharing stuff I have done)

That's not a bad idea. I own a 1990 Volvo 240 DL 4 door sedan. I have had it for these years and have kept it up, but no more so than anyone who is consciencious. This summer, I made the decision to go from bumper to bumper and either clean, paint, improve and/or replace virtually every part. The engine compartment is my bestr job. I detailed it with the hood off, installed insulation, "door edge-guard material around ALL edges and waxed everything. Replaced all rubber hoses for vacuum and w/s washer with great new stuff available where I work. I painted the valve cover and heat shield glossy black and have replaced EVERY bolt, nut, washer and screw with modern, stainless stuff. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I know I need professional help, but knowing there are some out there like me keeps me going and it is a safe hobby.
