Converting Turbo to NA 900

After 3 B230FT turbo failures: I give up....I need a reliable/cheap Volvo.

Can I replace the turbo top end with a head/manifold/down pipe from a NA B230?

1. Compression Ratio: I understand the compression ratio is 10:1 on a NA and 8.5:1 on a turbo.

?? I assume the Bosch Engine controller on a 91 740 should correct the fuel mixture, timing, knock.

?? I Assume the engine controller will adjust to lower compression pistons; and I will loose some power.

2. Electronics/Sensors: The turbo and NA engine controller, sensors and wiring are identical.

3. Engine Oil cooler. Just re-route the oil cooler return line directly to the pan hole.

4. Other Mysteries: Anything else I forgot here?

Thanks for the help...
