I don’t actually recall this happening, BUT-my rear brakes on one side have begun very slight but noticeable squeal as I come to a stop. This has been going on for about a month. First thing I did was check pads. All pads are 50% or better. I do my own brake pads. I do use the “anti-squeal“ stuff always on the back of the pads and on the shims, so I most never get squeal. I’ve been doing my brakes myself for years. Only thing I can think of is I take my brick through an automated car wash once a week; wonder if its possible, as it sprays under the car it has washed away some of that anti-squeal stuff on one of the brakes? Mind you , right after the wash, for one or 2 stops they squeal like hell till the water gets squeezed out then usually they are fine. I also don’t know as that dirt may have gotten behind a shim, but I still would think going thru that car wash on a regular basis it would have rinsed out any dirt. I know the pads get washed somewhat as it sprays upwards at the wheels. Im fairly sure I will have to pull off the wheel to see what’s going on, but ---“I don’t wanna” :o( --heh. --lazy me.---Thought I'd ask some views here first. Thanks.
