Engine running rich 200 1983

I just purchased a 1983 245, and I am working the kinks out.

I've been working on a rough idle problem that I have mostly smoothed out.

1. Car is running rich, you can smell it and its burning through a tank quickly

I just replaced the plugs, and they were quite fouled. New plugs helped quite a bit, but I imagine they will get fouled out soon if I don't fix the problem.

2. Rough Idle

I have been on the hunt for a vacuum leak. I replaced the air intake bellows and cleaned the AMM. Runs smoother now. There is a hissing noise coming from top of the air intake manifold. I sprayed the area with starting fluid and no change in revs. Not sure what it is. I don't have a tach to watch the revs. Seems much smoother but still has a hiccup or two.

I just purchased a multimeter to start testing amm and oxygen sensor. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge yet.

What should be my next steps? I am just learning how to work on cars, and picked this one because of its ease of access. I have the Haynes manual but not the Bentley.
