radiator curtain 120-130

My 62 amazon has a small bracket hanging from the dash that has a "key hole" in it. There is also a flared tube that sticks out of the firewall and another tube that curves over and is soldered to the radiator. What are these for? Well according to harald rosseland, a long time ago emigre from Norway, what's missing is the cable that used to run from the key hole, thru the tubes to a curtain in front of the radiator that could be raised and lowered incrementally by pulling on the cable (maybe a bead chain?) and locking it in the small part of the keyhole. I am not sure if the cable was armored in some way between the end of the tube in the firewall and the one on the radiator. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this set up or better yet has a photo and/or has the parts and doesn't want them. Also, was this an option?
