Door Lock issue 200

I recently had to replace the driver's door latch assembly on my '84 GLT because a tiny "loop" spring meant to keep pressure on the lever that the door lock button rod attaches to had broken. Just the "shock" of closing the door would cause the lever to drop--locking the door. Mine was a "mechanical" problem -- perhaps yours too. Do the other doors lock/unlock when you operate the driver's door lock? Do they react when your problem occurs? Mine worked with the key and/or the door button but when the driver's door self locked the problem was limited to the one door. -- Dave
