Ok, so the leak is... 200 1985

I used the dye to test where the leak is, and I finally found it.

But, I'm not sure where it is coming from.

It's either the rear main seal, or the oil pan. My brain doesn't remember which comes first.


If you're looking at it from the drivers side (from below), and you see the support for the transmission that bolts into the oil pan, that's where the leak comes from.

Now, here's where I don't remember whats what. I don't remember if the support that bolts into the oil pan (and is the lower support for the transmission) is on the upper side of the RMS or the lower side.

Just trying to visualize things, I think this bracket is on the engine side of things (as if the leak itself is coming from the oil pan gasket itself, because I don't think the RMS would show itself to be leaking in this location).

Man I hope it's on whatever side means I don't have to try to fix the RMS again. I don't know if I could handle having to replace that again.

I'll take a picture in a bit and post it. that way my description will make some sense.
