144 dash light rheostat knob - BROKEN - Driving in the Dark!!! 140-160

I pulled out the rheostat knob on my 1971 144s and i can not get it to stay back in. If I hold it in the dashlights stay on but as soon as I left go the knob pops back out. How do I fix or replace and where can I find a replacement?

Please help! I am driving in the dark,
