Ruined 2 new timing belts 700 1988

If you have the belt off at the same time the cam is out, you can spin the intermediate shaft (which drives the ouil pump) in the correct running direction and make sure you're getting gool oil flow to the top end. If not, I believe it's the second head bolt from the front, on the exhaust side of the head, that you need to remove to clean out the sludge. Some searching of old posts on this site may verify the correct head bolt to remove.
