'84 244T w/blown engine, what to do? Silly to drop in my '76 B21? Probably... 200

Here's the deal: I was just offered a 1984 244 Turbo. Clean car; owner drove it hard, no trouble. Next morning wife started it and it had bad knock. He's given up on it due to his age, etc.

He'll take $175 for it. Straight body; white; M46; Volvo alloys and good tires. Unknown mileage until I see the car. If it were a 2-door I'd just grab it because it's the last year of 2-door's.

If it needs another engine and a new turbo, I'm not sure it's worth it. We already have two 240's, but I hate to see this get scrapped. I've got a good low-mileage B21 from a 1976, but I doubt the electronics, etc., would switch across. Maybe a silly idea on the B21.

Any thoughts?

Dennis
