Engine Swap 200

If you pick a later year with the crank position sensor, you will need to either swap harnesses or replace the distributor in the donor engine with the one in your '86. There may be other differences in the newer engines. I swapped a 92 engine into my 87 and kept the existing wiring harness, swapped distributors, intakes, fuel injectors and sensors from the old engine into the donor to simplify the project. If you check my sig, there are lots of pics and descriptions of the swap. Have fun!
