water leak from where the wiring harness goes throught the driver door frame 700 1991

Now my 91 745T is almost water tight, except a small leak at the driver's side door. I pin-pointed the leak to the white plastic cup thing above the driver's left foot area right next to the infamous leaky plug (the big square plastic plug for the vent hole). When I leave the gardening hose fully running into the cowl, there is water accumulating inside cup, not along the outer seal. I couldn't figure out how the rubber grummet on the outside of the door frame is connected to this white plastic cup inside to let the wiring harness go through. Did anyone ever take it apart? I'd like to take it apart and understand how it was leaking. Please advise. Thanks. Erwin
