Is Volvo using 3/16 whitworth flare nuts on their 240 racks? 200

Hello,

I found 2 listing for a .445" sized fasteners listed in the following guide.

http://www.britishfasteners.com/images/nuts_bolts_key.pdf

This guide lists a .445 sized bolt/nut as either 1/4 British Standard or as 3/16
Whitworth.

FYI, the correct size for the jet tubes on HS6 SU carburetors is a 1/4 British Standard.

I own a Snap-on 1/4 British Standard wrench as I rebuild at least 5 or 6 sets of SUs and in fact I am rebuilding 2 sets this upcoming week.

When working on Volvos, you really need to be sure of your fittings and wrench sizes.

We recently installed an oil cooler from a 740 turbo in an 1800e with custom hoses and we had trouble finding the special British Standard Pipe ball flare adapters we needed to allow us to use standard AN fittings on the oil cooler hoses.
