Brake light issue.......help needed..... 200

Hey guys.....been a while.

I'm having issue with the brake lights in my 88 245. Center brake light works.........sides do not. I checked the obvious.....bulbs are fine........#7 fuse is fine too. What I find strange is that the center brake light works........when I pulled the #7 fuse to check it the center light stopped working so I'd have to assume that all brake lights work off of that 1 fuse.

Now I know that red cylinder like thing under the drivers dash can fail and cause brake light issue.........but since the center brake light is working, wouldn't that mean it's OK?

So I'm open to suggestions..........for the last day I've been using my rear fog lights to give those behind me notice when I slow.

I'm at a loss, any help is greatly appreciated.
