A sad note of passing (OK/Old Kombi/Su-filters.com) 444-544

I received an email this morning from the wife of Dave Gard. He went by OK or Old Kombi here on the BB and ran the site su-filters.com. She informed me that had passed away on the 23rd of September after a brief illness.

He and I traded/sold/bought parts back and forth for about the last ten years. He did a great job on anything machined or rebuilt. I went as far as having him custom machine parts for a 1939 tractor I restored some years ago. I knew they would be done quickly with craftsmanship that was second to none.

Thus if you are lucky enough to have a set of his air filters or a gas cap, hold on to them. They are no longer being made.
