Rear Diff Fluid 900

Once again, I have some dumb questions to ask.

I read, and reread the faqs but I am still confused on some things.

I have a 93 940 8V sedan and wish to check and top off the differential fluid, so I need to know what type to add.

So I am trying to figure out what axle I have. I guess I can have a normal one, a LSD, or a ALD.

Looks like the regular and ALD use the same fluid? If this is the case, then I only need to figure out if I have a LSD?

I do not see any clues of identification anywhere on the axle, so I was wondering what the "jack-one-wheel-up-and try-to-turn-it" method is (to see if it is a LSD)? And if I can count on that to make the decision on what oil I use.

Thanks in advance for any help.
