Arrg! 740 STARTER WIRING ISSUE 700

Greetings All!

Need your help. Was cleaning up the radio wiring in my 89 740 and it was a total mess. The power wire was wired into the headlamp switch so the radio only worked when the headlights on. It had 2 foot sections of household wiring all held together with wire nuts ... all the same color, of course.

Anyway, in the process of replacing the affected wires, I somehow managed to knock loose/disconnect something that cuts the starter out. The ignition lights come on and everything .. but no starter action.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction/general area to look to trace the wires from the ignition switch to.....?

thanks

Frank
