75 dizzy 140-160

I just snapped a few frames of the '75 distributor in my '69 144. You'll have to e-mail me directly and I can send them to you. The proper alignment (original, at least) is dependant on the position of the intermediate gear-dist/oil pump drive. That position can be changed by removing the gear/shaft--then insert a long screwdriver to change the oil pump drive to match the new position and then reset the shaft. Various repair manuals show the correct position of the dist. drive slot (check the camshaft replacement section) which may be TDC firing position for cylinder #4 (not #1). -- Dave
