91 240 Wagon Check Engine Light 200

I don't know Steve. It kinda looks like you are asking how to do what your mechanic won't do -- pull the bulb.

Many of us drive 240's of that vintage without CEL hell, so it is possible to fix properly, once and for all, and not a characteristic of the model/year as you imply. Proper diagnosis and repair. A mechanic who will consult with experts and not limit herself to what she already knows.

What do you think should be done?
