Electrical Question

I recently replace the heater blower/fan on my '87 740T with a GM AutoZone fan. My voltage regulator is fairly new. The gauge drops a little closer to the red than what I would expect to be normal with the fan and lights on, so I hooked up a meter. The Alternator is putting out approximately 15.50 and drops to the 13.30 area with the fan and lights on. Is that acceptable or is the fan drawing more than it should? Thanks.
