A 16-inch spare wheel will be hard to stow .... 200

Because a 16-inch wheel must be wide to accommodate the low profile tires that are a proper fit on the car, use of a 16-inch wheel with its wide tire will be very hard to stow in the narrow, rear fender compartment -- I'd even go so far as to expect that it won't even fit and let you close the trunk lid.

Instead, stick with a narorw 14-inch wheel and a tall aspect ratio tire (75 or so), so it will drop right in the storage slot. After all, it's just a spare!
