installing hubcaps 200 1988

A good friend has given me a set of the stainless hubcaps from an early 240 but was unsure if they will fit my 88 240 wagon.Any hints on how they attach to the rims,there seems to be the hubcap ,the centre cap and 4 springy clip things.Any help would be appreciated. cheers pv
