help please - insurance settlement question 900

Last week someone cut a corner too close and peeled the front bumper off of my 1996 960 wagon. The insurance company now wants to call the car a total loss.

The car is a second-owner (me) wagon with 220 k miles on it. Absolutely straight, never hit body with peeling paint but no rust. Mechanically excellent with timing belt 10K ago and a complete brake rebuild 20k ago. Good Michelin radial tires. Everything works. I'm looking for objective estimates on what my car is worth (assuming front pumper repair completed).

Many, many thanks. I'd really like to keep it.

KaiS
