In the middle of timing belt change and . . . 200

1990 245 B230F

I noticed there is a slot for a keeper on the crankshaft pulley the one with the accessories are driven from there was no keeper on this pulley. The pulley for the timing belt does have a keeper. I noticed what looked like some marks where the shaft may have turned inside the pulley. I have looked everywhere and can not find where it. if it was there to begin with. I used an impact wrench to loosen the 24 mm bolt and it really had to work on it to get it loose. I hope to finish this today but it is looking doubtful. Any help is appreciated.
