New noise 200 1993

Hello,

I was hoping for some input on what I believe is a symptom of some sort of issue with the automatic transmission. Basically it is a rumbling, borderline grating sound that is only present when the car is at a standstill with the transmission in Drive, ie. sitting at a red light. If I shift to neutral or park, the sound goes away. It also goes away completely after driving for a while, 5-10 ten minutes or so. I thought it might be fluid related, so I flushed the transmission following the procedure in the FAQ. This made no difference at all.

The car drives great otherwise, shifts smoothly, etc. No other obvious transmission related symptoms like slipping, delayed or harsh shifting, etc. The fluid level is good.

I'm kind of at a loss here, any thoughts would be appreciated.
