There are many things which could cause your problems, but it's probably not the knock sensor. I've gotten a few knock sensor codes. Usually this just indicates that the knock sensor is not functioning properly because something else is messing it up. Before replacing mine I was able to swap it with one from another car. Whenever I cleared the problem up, the knock sensor code would go away. So I would not be in a hurry to replace it.
