Fuel pump hummming or buzzing. 700

When i turn ignition to II position the fuel pump humms for a couple seconds then turns off. I can hear the intank pump humming. With the car running, I put my head down and check the main pump. It is humming pretty loud. Is this normal?

I am thinking that i might need to replace my fuel pressure regulator? My pre pump stuff is good.


I am going to try and test the FPR tomorrow. From reading the FAQ it sounds like the return fuel line should fill a gallon of gas in a minute. I just need to get some fuel hose so I can run the test.
