turns over but does not start. died while driving 700 1991

If it suddenly died with no pre-warning whatsoever, I'd look in the oil filler hole and watch for cam rotation when an assistant cranks the starter - it may have snapped the timing belt. If the cam turns OK, listen for the fuel pump to run for a couple seconds when you turn the ignition on. If you hear the pump run when you turn the ignition on, then check for spark. Once you've done those three things, post back again with what you've found.

Don't shell out for ANY new parts until you've been able to more closely identify what piece of the equation is missing.
