trans flush and now..........smokin'

Someone posted a very simple way of flushing transmissions, so....I did it. Hook a hose to the top connection going into the radiator, drain a couple quarts, put a couple in, repeat 5 times (I did just to be sure)Always shifted great but now it is super clean.

Now, after the first test run, I smelled smoke when I drove into the garage. Under the hood, I see smoke coming from down under the exhaust manifold. I checked the level of fluid in the trans and it was too full. ( I only drove 2 miles before) I drained ONE quart and the level was good.I cleaned all arounnd under the manifold and on the front of the trans. and it was dry and clean.Next day, I checked the level and it was "dry". I added 1/2 quart and it shows full. Can this be?
This morning I checked the level. Good. Drove to work. Smelled smoke. LOTS less, but a little stil around under the back of the engine, but very low. HELP!
