What size of compressor?

I cannot conceive of ever having to do my own tire mounting; the last ones I did were bias-ply and I was 40 years younger.

The bigger the compressor the shorter the rim sealing time. That said, you could use a 12-volt compressor that puts out 250psi (says on the box) but such low volume that it could take hours - by which time the little motor may burn up.

Visit a tire shop like Discount Tire or NTP or Firestone and learn what pressure they use for rim sealing. Then rent a wheel mounted unit (such as used by commercial painters) that puts out that pressure.

Who is going to do the spin balancing?
