good source for many kinds of high quality hose clamps! 200

Greetings:
Recently some one wrote in asking about locating good quality hose clamps. Aside from IPD, EEUROPARTS, ETC. you can also go to ROCK AUTO WEB SITE and looks under "EXTRAS" tab at near top right of screen, then scroll down to "PLUMBING" or do search for hose clamp in top center box - you end up the same place - and you find about 10 varieties of hose clamps, ranging from 60 cents to $6.00 Each. Some you must buy in a box of 10. Included are stainless steel, Marine grade stainless, clamps for silicon, clamps w/self tensioning screws so the don't loosen up in vibrating FI pump areas, etc. Lots to choose from. I do not know how competitive the price is vs. AZ, truck repair places, or NAPA. Usually ROCK AUTO is pretty competitive though. Be sure to look on line AND google for some one who has the 5% discount code widely disseminated on various sites web wide. This will pay much of your shipping.

Sort of unrelated: I ALWAYS use SMALL amounts of hylomar paste or similar flexible sealant that is chemical resistant as an EXTRA BACKUP sealer in case the hose clamp on hose doesn't do the total sealing job forever. A little dab will do ya!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not USING ELDERLY HOSE CLAMPS AGAIN.
