Northern California junkyards with 92+ cars? 700 1990

I just got back from 3 different pick-n-pulls. None of them had any volvos newer than 91, and only a few of those were turbo models.

I'm looking for a 92+ turbo engine because it has the 13mm connecting rods, large rod bearings, improved balance shafts, and oil-squirters. Other than the higher compression ratio and lack of sodium-filled exhaust valves, a Naturally Aspirated engine would work fine.

Does anyone know of any yards that actually keep an accurate inventory? It's pretty time consuming driving around to different yards.
Also, does anyone know why someone would start to pull a valve cover off an engine, then stop? I noticed about 3 engines that looked like they were fine, but had their valve covers halfway removed.
