Which 240 engine blocks have CPS mount - 88-up? 200

Some time ago there was a thread here about swapping blocks re: which years were tapped for the CPS mounting bracket (on US 240s 1989-93) bolts. Not sure there was a consensus but some folks thought CPS was available earlier.

I recently disassembled and scrapped some 240s. The only pre-89 blocks I saw with CPS holes tapped into the block were 1988 blocks. 2 of those. Neither of 2 1987 blocks had the tapped holes; nor any earlier ones.

Net, this small sample indicates that the CPS blocks were (at least least some) 1988-up motors. It's possible that there were some earlier ones of course. Or that not all 1988 motors were tapped.

It's also possible CPS blocks were available on earlier extra-US 240s. Although this implies that blocks were marked for export or not. Which seems unlikely.
