Converting 2.4 to 3.1. What do I have to replace? 200 1990

Its a M47 but mine is automatic, does it matter?
Only in my belief Volvo was forced to go with 3.1 to meet emissions on manual shift cars in the US. LH3.1 is less desirable, I think, even though it sounds like an "upgrade." People make projects of converting the other direction.

I didn't know about the throttle bodies themselves being different too, as Jorrell points out. All the more reason to consider saving the parts to fix another relatively rare LH3.1 car.

Anyway, whatever you decide, sounds like we're all here to help you.

Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss.
