Stalling or Almost stalling when braking 120-130

Does it happen when you are apply the brakes while stationary? If not then it is likely the cause is something moving as you decelerate. Are the engine and gearbox mounts OK? Dodgey mounts can cause unwanted throttle movement when the engine moves relative to the body. Could also be movement of fuel in the float as you suggest.
