IPD is generally good about helping customers.
If you bought the regulator from them, THEY should tell you how to hook it up!!
They know what it is; we can only guess.
I agree about "adjustable", if it is any good it should not be required.
(and I have adjusted a bunch of them. Last adjustment burned up a freshly rebuilt
Motorola SEV alternator)
