Lowe's and Home Depot both have modern automatic key cutting machines and they work perfectly. The first Home Depot I went to did not have blanks but the Lowe's did, problem solved 2 keys $3.40.

I did not check but I am told Walmart also cuts keys and likely uses modern key cutting machines.

Volvo can order a key off your VIN is the locks were not changed for $47 a copy.
